The organisers of the ROYAL INTERNATIONAL AIR TATTOO have received a lot of criticism in the last few years - and this criticism wasn’t only coming from die-hard enthusiasts, who complained when THEIR, (desired), plane did not show up. Bad organisation, nothing really new on display, chaotic traffic regulation and, particularly, extremely high admission fees were only some of the points of criticism. A drastic decrease in the numbers of visitors last year was the result, and this was in spite of the really outstanding flying displays and especially the static displays. More than 168.000 visitors ensured themselves of the fact this year that the Air Tattoo’s organisers had done their homework. Perfect organisation connected with an attractive programme on the ground as well as in the air brought back the old title to the ROYAL INTERNATIONAL AIR TATTOO, which it held for many years: BIGGEST & BEST MILITARY AIRSHOW!
