There are a few highlights during each Airshow season, and one of these is the NAS Oceana Airshow. We have attended this event five times previously, and have also reported about on it before. Sometimes we have been asked, “Why do you not report on a different US-American Show?” (We will do – promised!). You will find the answer to this question within this report. This event, which is always held annually during the very best hurricane season on the largest naval airbase of the American east coast, close to the bathing resort Virginia Beach, is probably the best airshow on the entire continent. Thereby this has nothing to do with the fact that we have a foible for the F-14 Tomcat, but is based on the fact that there is simply so much on offer and that there is hardly any match for it. For this reason our editorship has voted for the NAS Oceana Airshow 2004 as the "BEST OVERALL AIRSHOW 2004". Convince yourselves:
