My name is Edgar Wassenaar. I was born on 31 January 1957 in Geelong/Australia. After the attendance of the
Highschool I did my apprenticeship in auto mechanics at the local Ford engine company. After my
apprenticeship I visited the evening institute and promoted as mechanical technician. At present I work in this
occupation at a large aluminum enterprise. Not long time ago I bought a beautiful house in Lara together with
my wife Marion and our dog Buster - not far from the Avalon airfield. My interest in airplanes is nearly as old as
I am. Some years ago I began to be interested also in the photography, whereby it was aturally obvious, to
interconnect the two interest . For some years I work voluntarily as Airfield Marshall on the Avalon air show,
where I became acquainted with Robert Kysela in the year 2001. He followed my invitation to the attendance the same
show in the year 2003, where our large house served defacto as headquarters. I am gladly a member of this team of
select photographers and I am pleased already to be able to present you photos and articles from Downunder in the future
Good day
Yours, Eddie Wassenaar
