My name is Christian Spreitzer. I was born in 1978 in Bruck/Mur, Austria and grew up in the small
village of Krieglach (Upper Styria). After my studies in “Industrial Electronics” at the University of Applied Science in Kapfenberg, I started working as a test engineer for a large semiconductor
company. My job brought me to the city of Graz, where I live together with my girlfriend. From an early age I have been fascinated by aviation. My whole pocket money was spent on buying
aviation magazines and plastic model kits. I attended my first airshow at the age of fourteen. After much persuasion I convinced my Dad that we should drive to Bratislava in 1992, where the Czechoslovak
Army held its first international airshow. I was overwhelmed with emotion from this event. Henceforward I wanted to go to as many airshows as possible. Over the years I also made higher demands on the quality of
my pictures and so my photo equipment became more and more professional.
As I am interested especially in Russian built aircraft I will mainly cover the Eastern- and South European regions for the Checksix team.
Yours, Christian Spreitzer
